Does the Cloudcroft Reader Matter?
Now is the best time to show your support of local news reporting.
This December, we are conducting a pledge drive to support publishing the Cloudcroft Reader in the coming year.
Here is where you can pitch in and help fund our efforts. We operate on a modest budget, and the revenue from individual pledges is key to a sustainable business model for us.
Now is the time to maximize your contribution. During the current month, when we receive a $1 pledge, we also receive a matching grant of an additional $2 from the New Mexico Local News Fund of Santa Fe.
$1 + $2 = $3
So, if the Reader matters to you, your neighbors, your family, or your community, please consider joining our mission.
We cover stories no one else does—in-depth, fairly, and timely. That’s why the Reader has quickly become the most widely read publication serving the greater Cloudcroft community.
Your donation directly supports local editors, writers, photographers, and graphic designers.
With your support, we plan to keep going strong.
Our small village seems to have a knack for spawning big stories.
In this pledge drive, we hope to earn 24 new contributions.
Will you be one?

Now more than ever our community needs accurate and current information. The current city council and mayor conflicts is a critical event that the community needs understanding on all sides.
Before Cloudcroft reader as a seasonal home owner there was no communication prier to mayor Craig Now that he has resigned with no communications on what caused this, miscommunication clouds the facts and what path forward is correct
