Reader Questions Lead to Cloudcroft Ballot Corrections
Otero County election proclamation first listed just two trustee seats. Turns out, three are up for grabs.

Table for Three
Otero County’s election proclamation originally listed just two Cloudcroft trustee seats on the ballot.
Thanks to some Reader curiosity (and a few pointed questions to the County Clerk), it’s getting amended—turns out there are actually three seats up for grabs. The mix-up? A game of telephone between the former village clerk and the county.
Popular Votes Win
The three seats will be elected “at large,” meaning the top three vote-getters will fill the positions.
Moral of the story: always double-check your ballots… preferably before the ink dries.
