Here’s the coverage that money pays for.
Water. We follow the village’s water from springs to faucet — infrastructure, leaks, budget, solutions, and the geology underneath it all. We stay on the story as it develops, not just one report and done.
Local government. We’ve covered administrative turnover, elections, hires, and funding priorities, and we’ve sat through three years of budget meetings. This month, the village’s newest audit was released. We’re digging in now. Your pledges fund that follow-through, and our analysis is coming soon.
Fire and forest. Active fire reporting, expert guidance on protecting your home, and insurance changes. We tracked the Bluff Springs OHV closure and the recovery that followed, plus the federal layoffs and endangered-species fieldwork happening in our backyard.
We cover the schools, the businesses, and the people of this village too. Every story is part of an ongoing conversation.
