Village Wastewater Plant Workshop Today at 3 p.m.
VoC meets at the chambers today to hear a presentation by Robert George of Oso del Agua, who was contracted by the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) Ground Water Quality Bureau (GWQB) “to provide no-cost on-site training and technical support to evaluate Cloudcroft’s Wastewater Treatment Plant.”

Christmas Tree Permits in LNF
Sharpen your handsaws—Christmas tree permits from the Lincoln National Forest are now available through December 31st, both online and in person.
Folks can enjoy the tradition of cutting their own holiday tree near the Christmas Capital of New Mexico, while improving forest health. Cutting helps thin crowded stands of small trees, giving remaining trees more room to grow while improving wildlife habitat.
Permits may be purchased online or in person at district offices in Ruidoso and Cloudcroft from November 17th to December 24th, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Each permit costs $10, and tree cutting may begin as soon as November 17th. All forest offices will be closed on Thursday, November 27th, for Thanksgiving.
Fourth graders with an Every Kid Outdoors pass can receive one free permit, though a small online service fee applies.
