Watch: King and Wiley Debate

Mayoral hopefuls squared off at the Lodge Pavilion on Tuesday. See and hear what they had to say with our video recap.

Tuesday night, October 14th, a crowd of all ages gathered at the Lodge Pavilion to witness mayoral candidates Gerald “Dusty” Wiley and Timothy E. King engage in a lively Q&A.

Candidates went head-to-head on key issues: leadership, staffing, policing, fire management, tourism, finances, and more.

Cookies prepared by the CHS Culinary Program disappeared quickly as candidates explained why they wanted the payless, thankless gig before fielding questions from the audience.

Our video of the trustee candidates panel featuring Danny Hardwick, Keith Hamilton, and Gail McCoy will be available this week.

Special thanks to the Chamber of Commerce and the Lodge for sponsoring the event.
